We call it "Die Sonne"

Certainly not a phrase those of us here in Central Europe have had much occasion to use in the last seven months.

Die Sonne was everywhere today! Peeking out over the walkway at the Spittelau U-Bahn, and from behind buildings and trees.

Casting shadows in my neighborhood, both outside and in.

Every dog in the vineyard was smiling this morning. There was a honeybee on my windshield and a ladybird beetle on my porch. I brushed and polished my boots and packed them away, and opened every window in the house.

I declare that Spring has finally arrived in Vienna.
